When he couldn’t hear her walking, he turned his head, seeing her still standing confused across the desk from Kaendra; off was her hood, showing her chin-length wild and curled hair, framing her worried eyes, shining their ethereal amber glow. Her dark red and gold cloak hung open and over her shoulders, fully displaying her cream tie-down and her abdominal decorative brace. He was momentarily caught off guard when he caught her boots placed beside her and her long pants tied up into midthigh shorts, displaying her long muscled legs for all in the room.

This was the most vulnerable she has ever been with another outside of their group.

“Beloved, please.”

At his plea, she strode over, her gaze never leaving his own. As she arrived at his side in moments, Eros presented the helmet to Lycia, who dropped her gaze to it and froze as well. Her hands rested against the helmet, a thumb running over one of the cheeks.

Freyja.”

As the two of them stared at the armor in the hands, a clearing of Kaendra’s throat drew them to look at her.

“Would you both care to explain what is happening? Why have you both taken The Berserker's Helmet?”

Lycia caught the tell of Eros’ flexing forearm, and rested a hand against it before he or Nesheph could act in anger.

“Kae, please would you bring her here? Do that and we shall explain.”

At her questioning brows, it seemed to Eros that she wouldn’t do so, until she hovered a hand over her crystal announcement system. As it glowed, she spared one last glance at Eros and Lycia before, “The two handlers of Eris, please bring the prisoner to my office. Immediately.”

Finished with her call to action, Kaendra watched as the young man, Eros, marched the helmet back to the armor stand, running a hand over the chest piece and a gauntlet. She caught him stop before a scroll stored with the armor. As his fists clenched and his jaw tightened, she readied to remark but stopped at the gently raised hand of Lycia’s. Kaendra watched as Lycia shook her head, following Eros over to an indented seating area out of her sight.
