Dice

Choosing the right set of dice may be a life or death decision depending on the game you are playing.

While dice are considered to be toys, they can help determine the outcome of many different situations. Those who are prone to worship chance, for example, will allow the dice to determine a course of action or the outcome of a decision. For example, shall we eat at the snack bar or at Blue's Bar? Let's roll for it. Odds we go to the snack bar, evens, we go to Blue's.

Some have commented on the similarity between a Diagnostic Cube and a standard 6 sided die. The diagnostic cube, however, is a scientific device that will provided necessary medical advice. The dice are as likely to direct you into danger as to keep you out of it.

Valued as souvenirs, many beings amass significant quantities and varieties of dice that they add to their collections, ensuring that any given decision is served by the best suited die.

Manufacturing process

The only consistent rule about dice construction is that the odds of any given face of the die coming up should be equal. Poorly made - or just deliberately crafted to deceive - dice are called "weighted" in that the odds of one number coming up at any given time is higher than the odds of the other faces landing upright. Weighted dice are generally considered a cheat.
